FUSION 2022
Thursday, May 19, Enschede, De Grolsch Veste
Friday, May 20, Enschede, Twente University
(Future Security Impact, Organized Now)
Two partners INTERSCT and ACCSS, together with the hosting organization TUCCR (Twente University Centre for Cybersecurity Research), organize a series of (physical) events on one day. TUCCR continues this series by organizing another event, which will be held the next day. We call this a ‘’fusion” of events, even with slightly different and also overlapping target groups. It also is a fusion of different cybersecurity disciplines, and different parts of the knowledge chain. Collectively we are seeking a more cyber secure future, by organizing ourselves now. We do not start from scratch, but continue on a strong fundament of community building.
May 19: During the entire morning and part of the afternoon the INTERSCT. Conference on cyber security of Internet-of-Things, entitled “Towards a secure, safe and resilient digital society” will be held. In the second part of the afternoon, the Dutch cybersecurity research paper top-three will be presented followed by the Best Paper Award Ceremony (organized by ACCSS/SIG CS). Finally in the second half of the afternoon the ACCSS General Assembly Meeting (‘Algemene Leden Vergadering’) will be held, followed by (for some partly parallel to) a reception.
May 20: After a breakfast for SME representatives a mini-symposium, entitled “Boosting Cyber security innovation and entrepreneurship”, will be held. This is organized by TUCCR as part of the dies natalis festivities of University of Twente, during which Jaya Baloo will receive a honorary doctorate.
For more information about the INTERSCT-Conference, contact info@INTERSCT.nl, or visit their website https://intersct.nl.

May 19: First General Assembly Meeting ACCSS (members only)
16:45 – 17:45 (Room I)
(organized by ACCSS)
ACCSS is an association by and from cybersecurity researchers. Active participation by the research community in reaching the objectives of ACCSS is extremely important.
In the meeting the board will explain where we stand in the cybersecurity field, which challenges we face and the role ACCSS can play (in the knowledge, innovation and valorisation chain). During the meeting members collectively determine which activities ACCSS could deploy in the (near) future. The formation of special interest groups underline the desired involvement of the community.
This is the opportunity to meet the ACCSS board, its advisory council, and above all to meet and/or get to know each other (better).
All individual ACCSS members will be invited to attend the GAM. If you are eligible for ACCSS-membership but have not signed up for membership yet, please visit https://accss.nl/en/about-accss/membership/.
The ACCSS GAM is part of the FUSION event.
Different program components take place under that name. When registering, you can choose to participate in one or more of them. Registering for the GAM is easy by ticking the ACCSS GAM on the FUSION registration page. We like you to consider participating in other FUSION program components as well.
