Call for PhD Research Presentations: Your chance to present at the ONE Conference ‘26!

Are you a PhD candidate conducting innovative cybersecurity research at a Dutch academic university? Do you want to demonstrate how academic research can contribute to current and future cybersecurity challenges and societal resilience? Would you like to present your work to policymakers, industry leaders, cybersecurity professionals, and fellow researchers at the Netherlands’ leading cybersecurity conference?

ACCSS invites submissions for a special PhD Lightning Talks session at the ONE Conference 2026. This session will highlight the next generation of cybersecurity research and provide a platform for emerging researchers to share their work with a diverse audience.

We will select 4 PhD candidates to deliver a short and engaging presentation, followed by audience questions and a brief panel discussion. The session will be moderated by Bibi van den Berg, Professor of Cybersecurity Governance at Leiden University. On the road to the session, you will have an (online) presentation and science communication practice session in September provided by ACCSS.

We are looking for 4 outstanding PhD candidates to showcase cutting-edge cybersecurity research in a dynamic, fast-paced session designed to bridge academia, policy, industry, and society.

Who Can Apply?

We welcome submissions from PhD candidates affiliated with Dutch academic universities. Researchers from all disciplines and stages of their PhD are encouraged to apply.
