Research agenda

On June 5, 2018, the third version of the National Cyber Security Research Agenda (NCSRA-III) was released. The agenda is the framework for cybersecurity research in the Netherlands.

The National Cyber Security Research Agenda (NCSRA-III) describes cybersecurity research challenges around five pillars, which together support cyber security research and development in the Netherlands. These pillars are: Design, Defend, Attack, Governance and Privacy. Previous agendas were more disciplinary in nature. The division into pillars that has now been chosen will bring scientific disciplines together. They give direction to research and enable interdisciplinary collaboration. For example, each pillar needs contributions from computer science, engineering, social sciences and humanities.

The aim is to contribute to the cybersecurity of various top sectors and NWA tracks by implementing a single national cybersecurity research agenda. Implementation of the NCSRA-III is made possible in part by the funding of cyber security project proposals that have been submitted within the framework of a range of funding and tender instruments.
