DCSRP Award part of FUSION

Since 2015, the Dutch Cyber ​​Security Best Research Paper (DCSRP) Award has been presented annually. In 2021 the organisation of the best paper competition is in the hands of the Special Interest Group SIG Cybersecurity and the ACCSS association from 1 March 2021.

Again this year an international jury is composed to select three outstanding papers out of all submitted Dutch recent non-commercial scientific cybersecurity research papers. The 2021 Jury members for the DCSRP Award are Prof. dr. Sascha FahlProf. dr. Patrick Schaumont and Dr. Magnus Almgren. The Jury meets under technical chairmanship of Dr. Francesco Regazzoni and Dr. Olga Gadyatskaya. During the session at FUSION the Jury determines, out of the top three, which paper deserves the Best Paper predicate. 

The top three ‘highlights of Dutch Cyber Security Research’ (in random order) are:

  1. A Highly Accurate Query-Recovery Attack against Searchable Encryption using Non-Indexed Documents

  2. Speculative Probing: Hacking Blind in the Spectre Era

  3. TRRespass: Exploiting the Many Sides of Target Row Refresh
    Authors: Pietro Frigo, Emanuele Vannacci, Hasan Hassan, Victor van der Veen, Onur Mutlu, Cristiano Giuffrida, Herbert Bos, and Kaveh Razavi
    Presented by Emanuele Vannacci 

On November 24th the authors of these three selected papers present their paper and receive a personalized certificate, signed by the Jury. After these papers presentations the winner is announced. The winner receives the Dutch Cyber Security Research Paper Award. In addition the winner receives a bonus cheque, sponsored by IBM and Compumatica.
